Our Story

Europe has exceptional talent, but hiring and operating across its borders is far harder than it should be. This simple observation led to the founding of BRIDGE IN by Pedro Henriques in January 2020.

Portugal was the starting point. The local professional services ecosystem, including accountants, lawyers, and payroll providers, had historically operated below global standards. These providers weren’t equipped to serve internationally minded companies. That created a real barrier for foreign businesses wanting to invest and hire locally.

At the same time, Portuguese talent, particularly in STEM, is world-class. What Portugal lacked was the scale of a larger domestic economy and an international outlook among its professionals. Many talented people left simply because local opportunities were too limited.

The founding insight was to reverse that equation.

We reached consistent monthly profitability in mid 2021 and since that milestone, we have remained profitable and have grown entirely through our own revenue without raising external venture capital.

As of January 2026, we have attracted over €120 million in Foreign Direct Investment to Portugal. BRIDGE IN has clients from 35 countries. Over 10 of them are unicorn companies and publicly listed.

The Vision

We aim to prevent talent from leaving by bringing international companies into the country. That requires raising back-office services to a global standard and building a genuine bridge between international companies and local talent. That’s where the name of the company ‘BRIDGE IN’ comes from.

But the problem isn’t unique to Portugal. Across Europe, the same barriers appear country after country: fragmented local regulations, manual and paper-based processes, limited English proficiency, and professional services that were never built with international companies in mind. These barriers discourage investment and slow job creation everywhere. We are here to fix that.
